PostWaka ("PostWaka", "we", "us") helps content creators publish and schedule posts on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok and YouTube from one place. PostWaka is operated by Emadex Creations, a business registered in Nigeria. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to the PostWaka website and app.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email address and, if you choose, your phone number and social media handle (when you join the waitlist, create an account or contact us).
- The content you upload or write in PostWaka: videos, photos, music, captions, hashtags and the times you choose to publish them.
- Messages you send us.
Information from the platforms you connect
When you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram account, Threads account, TikTok account or YouTube channel, that platform asks for your permission and then gives us:
- Your account or page name, ID and profile picture.
- An access token that lets PostWaka publish on your behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted.
- Basic statistics for posts published through PostWaka (for example views, likes and comments), where you choose to see analytics.
- If you use the comment inbox: comments on posts published through PostWaka, with the name and picture of the person who commented. Replies you write there are sent to the platform for you.
We only request the permissions needed to publish your posts and show their results and, if you turn on the comment inbox, to read and reply to comments. We never receive your passwords.
If you connect a Meta ad account to boost posts, Meta also gives us the ad account's name, ID and currency and an access token (stored encrypted), used only to create, pause and report on the ads you ask for.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Paystack. We receive confirmation of the payment, the plan and the card type and last four digits if a card was used. For automatic renewal, Paystack also gives us a code that lets us charge the same card again; it is not your card number, and it is deleted when you turn off automatic renewal or delete your account. We never see or store full card numbers.
Technical information
Basic information needed to run the service securely, such as your browser type, device and the pages you visit on PostWaka, and a login cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use your information
- To publish your posts to the platforms you choose, at the times you choose.
- To show your scheduled posts, history and analytics.
- To suggest captions and hashtags when you ask for them. The caption text you are working on is sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to create the suggestion; your videos and account tokens are not.
- To process payments and manage your plan.
- To create, pause and report on ads you ask us to run on your own Meta ad account.
- To send you important messages about your account and, if you agreed, news about PostWaka. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep PostWaka secure, prevent misuse and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content or platform data for advertising.
Data from Meta, TikTok and Google (YouTube)
We use information received from Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok and YouTube only to provide the features you use in PostWaka, and in line with each platform's developer terms. Your use of those platforms is covered by their own terms and privacy policies: the Meta Terms and Meta Privacy Policy (Facebook, Instagram and Threads), and the TikTok Terms of Service and TikTok Privacy Policy.
PostWaka uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's use of your information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. PostWaka's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. In particular: we use data from Google only to provide and improve the features you can see in PostWaka; we don't transfer it to anyone else except to provide those features, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or sale of PostWaka (with notice to you); we never use it for advertising; and no person reads it unless you ask us to (for example for support), it's needed for security or the law, or it has been made anonymous. You can remove PostWaka's access to your Google account at any time from the Google security settings page.
Who we share information with
- The platforms you connect, only to publish what you ask us to publish.
- Service providers who help us run PostWaka, under agreements to protect your information: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and Cloudflare Workers AI, which writes caption suggestions), Paystack (payments) and Resend (emails).
- People you choose: team members you invite can use your account (not billing); clients you send an approval or report link to see that post or those numbers.
- Apps and AI assistants you connect with an API key: they can do what you can do in PostWaka (post, schedule, read your posts and numbers) until you delete the key.
- Brands, when you apply for a brand deal: your name, follower count, media kit link and the message you write.
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
How long we keep information
- Videos and photos you upload are deleted from our storage within 7 days after they have been published, or when you delete the post. Files you keep in your media library, or keep to recycle a post, stay until you delete them. If you connect a Meta ad account, we keep its name, currency and an encrypted access token, only to create, pause and report on the ads you ask for.
- Account information and post history are kept while your account is open.
- When you disconnect a platform, we delete its access token straight away.
- When you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment records).
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and other applicable laws, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email us at emadexcreations@gmail.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), encrypted storage of access tokens, and access limited to people who need it to run PostWaka. No service can be completely secure, so please keep your login details safe.
Children
PostWaka is not for children under 13, and users under 18 need the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our service providers may store or process information outside Nigeria. When they do, we make sure your information stays protected as required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we make important changes, we will tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
